Description and other notes: Take Knibbs' (or Nibbs') Knob Trail in Uvas Canyon County Park which climbs steeply about 1500' in 1.8 miles. (For comparison, Mission Peak hike from Fremont climbs 'only' 2200 ft over 3 miles.) You should catch our breath at the park's boundary, and turn right on Summit Rd (also known as Mount Madonna Rd). The rest of the hike, along the route copied from Neil Mishalov's site , should be easier after this climb. Mount Madonna Road => Loma Prieta Road => Summit Trail => Steep Dirt Trail => Mount Madonna Road => Knibbs Knob Trail => Uvas Canyon County Park.
